Annoying Audio Fix (1.3) - File Description  


Description:
This is one of my most highly recommended mods.

It changes the audio in the single player game, and reduces the amount of repeated voices in the game (the Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, etc.... at the Scientist trader is one example.

Installation: Put the gamedata folder inside the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl" folder.

This mod fixes some of the repeating spoken dialog heard throughout the game, as well as fixes the sound effects for some weapons not matching the animation when pulling them out of your inventory. I.E. The sound plays a little bit ahead of the animation. The mod also changes the awful weapon draw sound effect, and contains custom sounds and/or fixes for weapons where the devs re-used the same sound for multiple different guns. Why use the ak sound for the IL 86 when it doesn't match the animation? Lazy? I think so. Anyway most should be changed/fixed, except for the "fast shooting ak".


Examples of dialog fixes include...

The scientist in Yantar who loves the word "hello".
The "Get out of here Stalker." guy in the bar area.
The guy at the entrance of the bar. "I said come in, don't stand there, I said come in, don't stand there."
"Black Raven" guy inside the bar.

All of those, plus some others, are fixed to not repeat as much.

Title track, "With the Just Spirits" (wrong title in previous notes) by Ukrainian-Canadian Roman Hurko. Written to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl in Ukraine.

1.3 updates
Adjusted foot step volume for real this time.
Included new gauss holster sound effect that was supposed to be in v1.2.
Fix for duty leader "what are you deaf" guy.
Lowered the night vision sound effect.


1.2 updates
Made the Snork, sound like a snork(human thing breathing with a gasmask), and not a lion.
Adjusted foot step volume.
New Gauss firing, reload, and holster sound effects.
Replaced weapon fire with silencer attached sound effect.
Removed Kruglov changes.
Fix for Monolith calls in Sarcophagus.


1.1 updates
Fixed military outpost commander on megaphone.
Added bullet near miss sound effects.
Opening and closing inventory sound effects.
New footstep sound effects.
New SVD shooting sound effect.
Dead body collision sound effects.
Changed title theme.
Removed unused weapon.ltx files.
