Nature Mod (1.0) - File Description  


Description:
-This is a simple retexture mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R shoc.
-It changes grass textures to improve games atmosphere.
-Textures are more detailed. But should not slow down your game.
-Each outdoor game levels use different textures. ( see screenshots )
-When you travel from cordon to garbage you will see what I mean.
-Check readme and screenshots below.

- Mod version: 1.0
- Tested on 1.0004 and 1.0005, should run all versions
- No need to start a new game

FEATURES
---------------------------------------------------

- This mod changes grass textures of the game.
- Each level uses different textures. ( see screenshots )
- The textures are double resolution.

REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------

- You should run the game with full grass density to see all changes. See advanced video settings in game options.
- As I said, this is a simple retexture mod and it should work all versions of the game. And either dynamic or static lighting.
- You do not have to start a new game. And mod will work without any problem with other mods.

ISSUES
---------------------------------------------------

- In static lighting mode (dx8), torch light dont cast on grass textures. ( I think this is dx8 issue )
- It could be difficult to see a dropped item in some areas.
( For example; if you hunt down a bandit in garbage and can not see the weapon that he dropped,
then press and hold " f " key while walking near the corpse and name of the weapon or item will appear ).

INSTALL
---------------------------------------------------

- Well, just copy the gamedata folder into your game directory.
- If you did not use any mod before, then you need to edit ( fsgame.ltx ) file in the main game directory.
Open it with notepad and change the first line into: $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$|

- To create the grass textures i used Paint.Net v3.30.
- If you want to use this mod in your mods, feel free about that. Just give me the credits.
