Description: This is the 1.1 version of the long awaited Priboi Story. Actually we would
call it the 1.0, what we always wanted to release, but because of time, we
could not finish all the things we wanted. Now this version brings all the
cutout features from PS 1.0. However we are already working on 1.2, and that
will bring more fun, and almost each level will contain new alife.
In 1.1, mostly we concentrated to fix what we can, there were some bugs, most
of them was acceptable, but we tried to clean the mod as much as we could.
This mod is not an other serious sam style braindead shooting simulator. We
aimed on adventure - rpg elements, however the life in the zone is not easy as
you would think.
If you think your pc can handle some graphics tuning, we tested priboi 1.1 with
Sky4ce Skygraphics 1.81 mod. You can grab it from here:

Features of 1.1 version
-------------------------------------------------------
NEW FEATURES in 1.1:
- New main menu music by MoozE
- Removed the flames from the reactor (it looked weird 1 year after shoc story,
also now it looks cooler at nights)
- Many item got new place, so if you played 1.0, you don't need to fear, that it
will be boring, also codes were changed!
- Your house got a marker on the map
- While you are underground, a blowout can happen, it has no sideeffects yet in
1.1 but at least it helps you to know, not to leave the safe area for a few minutes
- New blowout, we removed the old one completely
- Blowout kills the birds (all of them will fall down, after a while they will
re-appear)
- Blowout can be customized in blowout.ltx (turn on-off for blowout, birds, mutants, psy,
by the way, the psy is disabled by default, kill the birds is on, kill mutants is off)
- Found codes will appear in your diary, so you don't need to check all
documents again if you need them.
- Blowout hideouts will be marked on pda map 1-2 minutes before the blow.
- After the blowout ends and you are in hideout, you will get an on screen note,
that it is safe, and you can go out again
- Realistic weapon configs
- New weapon sounds
- 7 new drivable vehicles (red and blue bus, gaz, lada, new kamaz, zaz986,
zil131)
- Traders were finetuned, and we put back the infoportion type trading, so you
can't buy everything at first, you need to complete several quests to allow
traders to sell you more. Of course their prices are always different, and they
sell different stuffs. You can only buy detectors and ecolog stuff from Ecologs,
Barman won't sell antidote, and devices. Duty will sell only duty related
things. Also they give low prices for your items, so it's not as easy as it was
in 1.0
- Underground levels now have ambient music, because before there were no music
at ug levels
- Better damage system. Now it's real hard and challenging on harder
difficulties, but also it's not easy on novice mode.
- 6 new food type (sardina, olives, corn, preserved meal, ratpie, peanut)
- New wpns (21 new) (credits and list below) and they are added to npcs, and
traders, balanced of course
- If you kill one of your friends, you will get warning, after 2nd warning they
will turn into hostile
- Scary storm, realistic thunder sounds from stormchasers (RHumphries, SpeedY,
FreqMan, Charel Sytze)
- Better, scarier lightnings during storm (sometimes they are real close)
- Tweaked weather, brings back the old feelings
- More darker nights
- cutout mutants have now monster-parts (cat head, izlom hand, poltergeist
brain, tushkano body that you can eat)
For maximum graphics quality, we recommend to use Sky4ce 1.81 mod.

Fixes since the 1.0 version

- sleeping bag fix included from 1.0
- fixed item descriptions (added the missing ones, and corrected the old)
- items fixed, now you can't sell your own pda and bolt and binoc
- crash on death fixed
- bar warzone fixed, other factionwar zones fixed, now you won't become enemy to
duty and loners, if you help them
- pda map color matches the current summer season in zone
- now cigarette works fine, so it reduces health, but reduces hunger too as in
real life
- the blue energy drink fixed, it's stronger now, and of course costs more
- the minimap was fixed too to match current season color
- the slowest levels were fixed, now garbage runs much better
- npcs use the new wpns too, also it depends on rank
- some respawns fixed or altered
- some labs were empty, until now
- fixed blowout spawn (no more ridiculous things, also no more artifacts out of
level border)
- bridge major fixed (you can talk him anytime)
- blockpost commander fixed (not wandering around Radar and Pripyat so you can
finish your quests)
- fixed vodka task
- bridge mayor, blockpost commander got god mode, since they are important npc-s
(they were almost immortal in 1.0 too)
- more detailed mission descriptions (some of them have photos attached)
- disappearing documents and items fixed
- many npcs were removed from cordon, since it was flooded with soldiers, and
the game was slow a bit :)
- better task descriptions, some of them has images too
- fixed npc trading, now they wont sell their guitar, harmonica, pda and weapons
anymore, but they still buy anything
- arena fixed, now you won't fight with soldiers, and Arnie is immortal
- ppl needed more mutants at yantar, and other mostly empty levels, so blowout
will spawn more stuff, each level has at least 20 or 30 different spawn point
for monsters
- other little tweaks (nothing big, and nothing important but needed)

This is the list of features from 1.0 version. Note, some of them were changed

- You start the game in a different place.
- You are a Military Lieutenant.
- No 'shoc' storyline (99% ripped, 1% left for old non-storyline missions)
- New story, but with freeplay from the beginning without restrictions.

- Be aware! The radiation is your invisible enemy, you can't see it with your eyes!
- Added a lot of monsters and artifacts at Stancia2, so be prepared for fight.
- You can go back from Stancia2 to Monolith's War lab, and the Sarcophagus.
- At Stancia 2 you can use the removed ladders, so you can climb to the roofs, or to the other chimney of the reactor block 1 & 2! (good for sniping)
- Because we thought that the teleports are a way too futuristic for this game you can use the ladders to climb up to the roof instead of the teleports.
- From Sarcophagus, you can go back to Stancia1.
- From Stancia1 you can go back to Pripyat (as in the free play story mod).
- There was a secret monolith base at Radar level, check the PDA for a level
changer. From there you can go to X10, it's just an alternative route but faster.
- Added a some cut out monsters to every level. (nothing new, but good feature)
- Added a lot of vehicles to almost every level. (nothing new, but good feature)
- Vehicle floating issue fixed.
- New sound effects at the Sarcophagus.
- BTR windows can be opened with 'L' button.
- New bar music. (old radio spots and musics)
- Hidden documents! (You will have to use your wits to find them hehe.)
- Restored some code doors, and you need to find more codes to open doors.

- You can sell anything to NPCs, but they will buy things for lower prices.

- You can apply for tasks at the Blockpost Commander but you will get the new storyline missions as soon as you finish the current one.
- There will be a locker for you in the bathroom, so use it to store your stuff

- Because you are a well equipped military soldier, you will get a full Encyclopedia section to learn things about the Zone and the factions.
- Restored the sun that was left out. (Thanks xStream for the help)
- Less generic skins for NPCs.
- Barmen, Petrenko can now repair your gear.
- Many more little changes (weapons, items, monsters...) that you will notice.
- You can sell your torch, bolt and other stuff, but then you can't use the night vision or headlamp, until you buy a new torch, and also it's a good idea to use the bolts, because of there are a lot of invisible anomalies...
- You can put a lot of stuff to your belt, like the carried explosives, devices,some quest items, artifacts, and torches as in the 'old stalker'...

Install Notes

This 1.1 version is a complete re-release of 1.0 plus the many included features
and fixes. This was needed, because many files were removed, and with a simple
overwrite they won't disappear.
INSTALL:
1. make sure you don't have Priboi Story 1.0 installed
2. if you have, then delete it (delete gamedata folder and saves)
3. unpack this mod to the Stalker - Shadow of Chernobyl game directory *
4. edit the fsgame.ltx as usual with mods ($game_data$ = true|true|)
5. read the readme carefully
6. launch a new game **
7. have fun!
* you don't need to make gamedata folder, just extract everything to stalker
** forget the old 1.0 saves, this 1.1 needs new game start!
UNINSTALL:
Completely remove the gamedata folder from your stalker directory.

the graphics settings properly in game:
* If you would like to play on medium settings, static lightning, then:
(do not use such things like -smap4096 -mblur even if your vga supports it)

* If you would like to play on high settings, but not yet maxed, then:

This is pretty tight -- I like it a lot so far. There are just a few little detail annoyances I'd like to point out...first, the new lights in the houses in the cordon rookie camp create oversaturated HDR-effects; they also do not cause objects to cast shadows, which is inconsistent with the rest of the game world (durr dur dur lol). Second, the transparent camo-tarps that have been added to the cordon rookie camp can be walked through. There are some other, even more nit-picky things that i could mention but i won't because it won't really contribute anything; overall this mod is really cool and looks damn fine!

Don't know if this was intentional but... the ak74u has 40 rounds in it. And it seems the gun reload sound is out of sync
ok, played it for a few hours now, can definitly say its a fantastic mod,
makes s.t.a.l.k.e.r feel completely different, mainly being that you start in a different area, everything looks different, you dont have to do the same annoying levels at the beginning, already found myself in Wild Territory hiding in a tank from cimeras..

Excellent idea u work is superb, and climate :] nice dialogues nice start nice intro, but.. i have STK ver 1.5 when i quickload the game it crash ;/ i can normal save game, but when i load it just breaks down
i have same problem. the mod is great but this is annoying. i play with 1.0005 version. i will try with 1.0004   
WOW! I had never heard of this mod until i looked on here yesterday. So i decided to DL it... And i'm damn glad i did. I have played OL with Stalker and that was amazing but this is a totally different experience. If i didn't know any better i would swear that this was an official expansion. I love the new weapons, environments and the brilliant A life. The Zone may look lush and beautiful but it's even deadlier than before!
Well to summarise this mod is amazing 10/10!
P.s. that problem you are having often with saving happens with Stalker and is not the Mods fault. There is a way you can fix it:
What usually causes this is by updating to 1.0005 when a mod is installed. It does not update the mods system.ltx file. This file is located in the gamedata/config folder. Go down to line 568 where it says this:
current_server_entity_version = 6
and change that 6 to a 7 You can use notepad to edit the file... just RIGHT click on the file and choose Open With then notepad. Your old hard saves and quick saves might be corrupted... but the last auto-save will be OK and your future saves will be OK

thanks for the comments.
if you notice crash when you reload or talk, that means you use 1.0005 patch, while the mod is patched to 1.0004. You dont need to reinstall everything for that. There is a "PATCH" folder in gamedata Just check it, and drop in the files (overwrite the older ones, be careful, if it dont ask to overwrite, then you copied it to wrong place, just simply track the files, and update them from patch folder)
good luck. we will release a small fix soon, that fixes that you cannot drop the documents, we will try to find a better way to keep them. Until then, good luck in playing.
PS: Also, there is a rare dandom bug, if you start a new game, and it quits, then start it again, and it will be ok. It is really rare, it doesn't appear on every pc, but on some it does. That wont affect the gameplay later.
also i forgot, soon there will be an updated 1.1 gameguide with walkthru, since the 1.0 is not the same. we changed many things in 1.1 
Priboi Story 1.1 patch FIX:

- We noticed that the light fix was left out, so we added it back.
- Also noticed that an other npc uses Kruglov's name too, and well, we should have only 1 kruglov in game. Smile We fixed that.
- Also noticed that quest documents can be dropped, but it's not okay. Fixed that too.
- There was a typo in a document, so we fixed the codes, now you will be able to open the radar codedoor.
- Bes's quest was bugged, we fixed it.
- Commander decided to visit agroprom, fixed
- If you pick up a task document, it will go to your pda, and disappear from your inventory. You will find it in Encyclopedia "Top Secret Documents" section
- If you pick up a document that is not target of your task, it will only go to your Encyclopedia and disappear from your inventory, if you get that task
- Only task target documents will disappear. The Sid's letters, and brown suitcase is not mission item, it will stay in your inventory.
- Encyclopedia missing entries (ammos) were fixed
- Other small unnoticable fixes Smile
Installation:
Update the priboi story 1.1 gamedata with these files. New game start is recommended, but if you don't do that, only half of the fixes will work!

dude i need to ask one thing, how do i stop all the buildings/everything that has been added (inanimate object wise - tree's/buildings/other stuff) always spawns a bit higher then need be, and when i bump into it or shoot it it drops a few feet..
is this just my computer or.. bug?

I know the guys have tried to fix it, its not your PC.

deadcity, rostok factory, old garbage, darkscape, swamp and plain field level will be in following project, "back to the roots" or someone call it "stalker - origins"
priboi story will have an other update, the 1.2 patch, in october. its a complete new experience for stalker. we remade all levels, removed alife, and recreated it from scratch, so everything will be different. also 1.2 patch will contain 1 new area, we havent decided yet which one, but rostok factory would be cool.

if you decide to add this fix, that fixes every possible issue, like wrong wpns, wrong lights, and some alife thing, it will need new game start :S i hope you wont kill us for that

Hey i cant get the mod to work, i read the readme and did everything but the game just CTD when its loading up a new game, its patched to 1.4 could it be a problem with the video, sound, etc. settings?

First of all I'm very impresed with this mod guys, my jaw hit the floor more than once! As I played it I couldn't help but notice the huge amount of work and time that must have gone into this mod, can't even imagine! This time around I'm really taking my time, talking with everyone and simply enjoying the game world and weather! Its also getting me very excited about Clear Skies which is soon to be released here in the States (knock on wood)! I should also mention that this mod is pretty much exactly what I would do if I knew how to modify the game files myself. With that said I want to give a huge THANKS to the authors of this mod for their hard work and time investment! Please keep up the great work guys because your work is being appreciated everyday!

hello. indeed, this is a great mod. i have a problem with the code from the red forest door ( behind the sniper ). i've found the main code ( krugliov pda) and the two missing numbers,but the combination doesn't open the door.( the same problem in priboi 1.0). behind this door is a document with another code needed in lab x18.

codes are different in 1.1. There is a misspelling in 1.1 , but if you use the patch, then you will be able to open it. The last number is 6, not 8 !!!

Hello, I'm not sure who to ask for help, but here goes. I am at Red Forest and the door codes won't work. In the older version, I am playing 1.1, this door code was 579781XY or 12. In the new vesion 1.1 I got the papers called Pro Kruglov - Genetics and the code is listed as 781597##.
In Dark Valley I found the paper in the bandit leaders blue box. I got the paper in the room where you have to jump on the ledge and go in the window. In Lab 18, I found a flash drive and something in a blue box. I also found the box in the blue house, but when I was leaving the blue house I got a message that I failed to find a document but was at a lost. Then I was leaving the blue house in another direction and I got a message about Task Failed in the Dutier Gun mission and that was all. But I did have the Gun.
Now I am at both Red Forest and Lab 10 and no codes work. In the older version the lab codes for lab ten were 4615 for the first door and 831210 for the second. What is going wrong, please help me. Is this something to do with Dark Valley. I know I have done everything right by the old version but in 1.1 many hiding places are different. Please help me. Thankyou

My game tends to crash a lot in the Bar area. Whenever I load a quicksave from there, talk to the barricade guard, or talk to barman, I crash. Tried a lot of things, starting a new game, reinstalling, but nothing works.

Hey again, I did manage to open the door in Red Forest behind the sniper, and the door in Lab 10. Changing the numbers worked. Using a 6 and not an 8.
Plus I used the number from Kruglov's PDA, not his Prof Kruglov - Genetics code.
BUT I HAVE ONE QUESTION. I only found one document in Lab 10. Is there more than one?? Plus I only opened the one door, is there only one door??

Door Codes are a bit confusing though. Guess I got use to 1.0 version.
Also if the door codes are in your PDA can you get rid of the documents because they really clutter up your inventory. thanks
******WARNING SPOILER DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE OTHER UHSF DOCS****** The other UHSF docs are in the duty base it the warehouse (to your right) at that duty check point to go into there base with their leader. Their is a door leading into the warehouse but its blocked by something big and heavy. you have to climb up that tower near the ware house and at the very top you have to jump off onto the roof look around you should fin a big enough hole for you to get in go up to the door that was blocked by the big thing and to your left you should see a circuit board and in the board there should be another UHSF doc. (to get out you must move the big box blocking the door)******WARNING SPOILER******

The problem with the crash is simple. You use 1.0005 patch, but the mod is patched to 1.0004. You will find a folder in gamedata, called PATCH and inside you will see a folder: "1.0005"
Copy the content of the folder to the gamedata, and it will ask you to overwrite 2 files:
system.ltx and task_manager.script
If its done, then you can start new game, and crashes are gone.
Does anyone have a problem with crashing in the Army warehouses? does not matter where I am, but every time I try to save I end up crashing to my desktop  . I've changed to every resolution in video options, but not sure what's going on. I have no other mods installed & my computer is only 5 months old so I know my machine is not the issue...

Sky4ce Skygraphics 1.81 mod, I got poor FPS using this file mod. I even turned down the AA & Aniso on my Radeon 3870x2 and still got only 25/35 FPS. Removed the mod raised card setting back up = 75+ FPS. Wonder what kind of video card you keed to run this mod with max settings? Happy gaming to all.

Priboi Story 1.1 Fix-Update 2.0 (2008.08.30)
This update contains all former fixes, and addons. We uploaded it in 2 version, to avoid issues with players who don't read readme before play. So here is a version for 1.0004 and 1.0005 patch. This fix requires new game.
If you just downloaded priboi story 1.1, then we recommend to use this patch-fix right away before you start new game!
- We noticed that the light fix was left out, so we added it back.
- Also noticed that an other npc uses Kruglov's name too, and well, we should have only 1 kruglov in game. We fixed that.
- Also noticed that quest documents can be dropped, but it's not okay. Fixed that too.
- There was a typo in a document, so we fixed the codes, now you will be able to open the radar codedoor.
- Bes's quest was bugged, we fixed it.
- Commander decided to visit agroprom, fixed
- If you pick up a task document, it will go to your pda, and disappear from your inventory. You will find it in Encyclopedia "Top Secret Documents" section
- If you pick up a document that is not target of your task, it will only go to your Encyclopedia and disappear from your inventory, if you get that task
- Only task target documents will disappear. The Sid's letters, and brown suitcase is not mission item, it will stay in your inventory.

- Colonel Petrenko is now immortal, like the arena manager, it was needed to keep him alive from instant bar attacks

Also, is there a way you could fix when viewing people under "Crimes" in the PDA.
It gives a brief description of people when u click them, but the wording doesn't go to the next line, it's just cut off.
and can you tone down the textures a bit, like wood and metal. It's really effecting the FPS quite a bit. This is prob. another reason why alot of people experience low FPS with SkyGraphics as well. Cause the FPS already kinda sucks due to all the textures from Priboi.

read the readme, you use 1.0005 patch, but mod is patched for 1.0004. you need to patch manually from gamedatapatch folder, or use the patch plus updata, what i just uploaded and posted here today 
Yes I manually added the patch files from the folder PATCH.
Now that I'm using your new Priboi_Story_1.1_FIX_2_1.0005 ~ all works great now. No crashing or any problems to report. Thanks for a great mod guys. I even went a bit further and turned off Blowout and added my 40meter flashlight file from OL 
The only problem really is all these textures and all the new trees and grass and such are just killing the FPS so it's ridiculously slow compared to OL or vanilla STALKER game.
I also like playing this as it reminds me of when they released Opposing Force for HL and you got to play from the military standpoint, instead of playing from Gordon Freeman's standpoint. Again great job, yes it could use some work, but hey this mod could turn into being a one of a kind since it is a total conversion and not your average mod. Looking forward to more and more version releases of this one for sure!
Hey, this new version leaves you empty handed. I went to Pyr City and found one document and a flash drive. I did find an empty chest but I have not found the lost document quest. I have had that quest and the find the missing squad task. Then I went to NPP and found the missing squad and I was told to find a Helo for them to get out. I was told it was on the other side of all this crap. But, there is no way to get there. Then, I went into the Sarcophagus and killed all the Mono soilders but found nothing. Now, I have to find a document that is nowhere. I cannot finsh the game. The clues suck, and there is to much ground to cover to find something that might or might not be there. I should have never started this game because its way to vague on clues and it really sucks to get as far as I have and then have to just stop. The makers of this game forget that you cannot find something in mutiple citys/places when you have clues that are so bad. As far as I am concerned, this mod is way to fustrating unless you live and breath Stalker and that is to much to ask for. Damn I am mad
Hello, I just found the document in the elevator shaft in Pripyat, but I have already been to NPP and found the lost squad. The elevator document has told me to go to lab 10. I have already been there too. I did find something there before I think. I apparently cannot follow the clues as there were mean't to be follow.
Because I have already been to the sarcophagus and killed everybody, have I screwed up the game. I have not followed anything in order so can I finish the game or do I need to start over again. My new quest is find UHSF # 1, I think. God this is confusing.
For the makers of Priboi Mod. Just so you know the only reason I found the documnet in the elevator shaft was because someone said it was in the long building by the Fairiswheel. That helped alot, but they also said it was on the Second floor. That was enough of a clue for me to find it, and it still took hours to find it. The Pic ture you put up didn't help and I would never have found it with you clues. Anyway, I am looking forwword to Clear Skies, and I might replay your mod when the walkthrough guide comes out. But, following a guide kinda ruins the fun of the game.
Just need better clues and you should have had a person not so close to the game test the clues for you. Anyway, I know you guys worked hard so that matters a lot. I hope that people like you mod, I would have if the clues were better and there was more order to the game. At this point my head hurts.
the clues are almot cheats. if you will know stalker better, it wont be hard for you too. this mod was made for ppl who already played thru the original vanilla game many times, or with vanilla mods, and they already know each part of stalker...
it's not easy to hide something since levels are small, and to tell the truth, there is only 2 or 3 lift tunnel in pripyat, so if it didnt help, then sorry, i cant help this style is somewhat not as popular as when you just need to go and shoot, but it still have fan base.
clear sky will be good im sure, it is a different gamestyle too, this priboi story aimed to bring back the old stalker gamestyle, where you needed more adventure skills, and less run and gun 
I have a question for Zoxfeld. I was following Nemo's guide for 1.0 version of Priboi story because I wanted to find all the documents in their right order. Maybe I worry to much about this.
Anyway, my question is this. If I just folllow the clues in my PDA and forget about finding all the documents will the game still unfold right for me. Do I have to follow the level changes like in Vanilla version or if I go to a different level even though I get the clues wrong will the game still work right.
In other words, if I go to NPP, Warehouse, Yantar, or Dark Valley before I am suppose to will the game still play right as long as I find the clues needed. I hope you understand my question.
I really did enjoy playing this mod. I am just worried I will do something wrong and mess up the game. So, there are safe guards for this built into the game right??? I really did enjoy playing this mod and I want to play it again. Plus, I started it before all the patches came out so I never got the fixes. Thanks......

i understand, i think yes, we tested it both ways. zrp is not included in this version, so there are some vanilla bugs, but mostly the 1.2 version is based on zrp, that fixes almost all existing vanilla game bugs. if you go somewhere before the story would send you, i dont think it can cause problems, if you pick up something earlier than you should, then it will stay in your inventory as long as you get the task for it, then it will be marked as successful.
hi,Zoxfeld. Man,i tihnk my p.c. doesn't like this mod. I tried 5 new games on 1.1. patch 1.0004 , and i managed to get to sarcophagus level omly one time.
I think my english is not that good to explain,but i'll try. I get CTD on 4 different games when i try to enter sarcophagus from NPP. The quicksave( AND THE REGULAR SAVE ) from NPP doesn't work also ( CTD). Only one time i get to Sarcophagus , but, on the way back , i get CTD when i try to enter Warehouses from Radar ( the q.s. and regular save from radar doesn't work also - CTD.)
Well , i patced the game to 1.0005 , reinstalled 1.1. , patches,fixes,etc.
Now i have CTD when i try to exit from Yantar lab to underground tunnels ( the q.s. and regular save from Yantar lab -CTD ).
If i get CTD when i try to enter to a different level, the saves from the previous level
doesn't work anymore.
Any idea ? What is going on ?

Hey Zoxfold thanks for your advice. I am replaying the Mod again and I love it. When I follow the PDA it says to go to Dark Valley before Yantar, which I have done twice before but that still seems to work. I think Yantar is suppose to come first but it doesn't seem to matter. The thing I love about this Mod is that you can move and explore at your own pace. I hated the old Stalker where you had to try and save the professor, it was a pain. The action is still intense but you can play this laid back too which is cool. The run and gun thing does get old. Great Mod.
HEY GUYS, if you go to the bottom of your .....w_val folder ..... and increase the hit power for the........ sr3vihr, it becomes the BEST FIRST SLOT WEAPON in the game. I cam mow down blood suckers and controllers with one short burst. Makes having a first slot weapon worth while. Plus I increase my carry weight to 180 lbs because I want to use some of the cool weapons in the game. I only carry 4 guns. Sniper, assault, shotgun, and the sr3vihr.
nice stock i usually use vintorez, old fn2000 and ak74... plus some heavy military armor (the commander suit) that keeps me safe from anything (of course some detectors also needed)
guys, we had an idea about anomalies. we hate them, many ppl hate them, since the levels are big, but you cannot explore them because of anoms. so what if the anoms appear only after blowout, and they "turn off" after a few hour, but artifacts are spawned in anoms and when anoms are turned off, the artifacts disappear too, so if you want to collect, then you need to enter those anoms, and after a few hours you can explore fully the areas without any *****ing anomalies (until a new blowout comes again )

Zoxfeld,could you take a look at post #75,please? In game, the main assault rifle i use is the ak103 ( scope & grenade launcher attached ). Some ideas for version 1.2:
how about some ammo for the machine gun that can be found in the Freedom base?
Also, attaching a silencer to the ak103 and a grenade launcher to ak47.And,maybe,do something with the degrading style of the weapons. Is not realistic. In real life , if a weapon degrades like this, the army should hang the manufacturers by their '' nuts ''.

unpack the mod anywhere and copy/paste only the '' gamedata " folder to the stalker main directory.

Can a "unique_items" file be made/used for "PRIBOI STORY (1.1)", is this possible? Could it be done fairly easily? Can anyone tell me how to do it? When using "mods" for the 1st (regular stalker), the mods usually show up in the "unique_items file. How would this be possible to do in "PRIBOI STORY (1.1)"? Would someone respond with correct information please. I'm also thinking "mods" should be showing up soon. Any takers? Mod writers? Wishing good gaming to all. Thanks.

I have almost finished the game. I have been to X18 for the final time and got the virus and then the antidote in X18. Been to all of X18 levels.
Now I am surpose to find a document in the Warlabs. The document from the Hotel I guess. I am confused as to what Warlabs????????

Never mind, I am headed to Stancia2 and the end of the game. Nemo's walkthrough guide for 1.0 will help you figure out the order you follow as far as levels go. I think all of the documents are hided in different places. The coolest hiding place is in the Sarcophagus. There are two documents hidden there if you find it. Its in the hallway where you kill two guards, you will find a ladder and go down. Anyway, its been fun. Over and out.
One question, how do you start the engine on the vehicles. btw great mod love the weather and how it has a completely different storyline, very nice job

I just wanted to say great job.
i stumbled on this mod while looking for OL 2.2 mods and downloaded it immediately.
It ran slow at first with my geforce 7600 GS card (even without the Sky4ce mod) so i went out and bought a brand new video card to play this mod (Geforce GTX 260), didnt get the 280 becuase i new the 260 would work fine and didnt want to pay the $500.00. I have every possible setting in the options screen up all the way and let me tell you the graphics are awesome. Best ive ever seen.
So far i found the followings bugs:
1. Trucks (with chemical hazard in them) float above the ground in garbage area right next to tower by the old monolith and the truck just before you get to freedom base change area (coming from bar area). When you shoot them they drop to the ground.
2. Weapon Sound - Enfield L85A2. Every 3rd - 5th shot sounds like a shotgun blast instead of the accurate sounding weapon report. Usually the last shot of a volley.
3. Freedom Base - i took them all out from long range. Even when i shot them they acted like nothing happened. some of them did react but late. Need to adjust their awareness. I would say getting shot should alert them that something is happening.
4. Zombies are unrealistically tough to kill. two headshots at most should do it. I have had to pump 5-7 rounds into head/body to get them to drop. Then some of them get up. Should drop the pain threshold on this. Afterall, they have human brains and bodies even if they are zombified. Blowing these apart should disable them.
Thats it so far. I have not gone past freedom base area, and Yantar science station (did not go to X16 factory area either). I have beaten SOC 4 times on expert before getting into the mods. I have to say this Priboi story is like a brand new game.
I would pay $40.00 to by it. Applause!!!!

about 1.2 ... rewamped storyline and new alife on each level. that means, if there was bug in vanilla alife scripts, then they are removed, we made our own version. stalkers wont just sit around fire all day, and doing their regular jobs, like play guitar, drink, eat, etc... . Anomalies are disabled, they will only appear after blowout, and they spawn artifact, but you need to be fast to collect, anoms with af-s will go away 30minutes later a blowout happened. We try to include our first single player level, the rostok plant, or factory just left to cordon. We optimized the game even more, and redesigned the stancia1-2 levels again. Not bigger, but not as empty as in vanilla game, now it looks more to the old stalker.

that is localisation bug, please use the english version of stalker. it wont run with other languages, unless you install our language pack, but its limited for: russian, german, french, italian, spanish, japanese.
Also do not forget to install the correct update for the base 1.1 mod.

thanks for the report, we will try to fix these in 1.2, and we are glad that you like our work. yep it needs a bit stronger pc for max graphics settings, now i could say, i recommend to use the sky4ce graphics mod the latest is 2.0 rc4.1 and that contains many cool features, i think your vga will handle it easily (btw im planning to buy the same vga)

priboi story was announced in german gamestar magasine (2008.11) . you can find article about in the mag, and a video about in on the dvd.

Yes, something is absolutely wrong and i don't know what it is. I just installed a new clean copy of STALKER on my system to install this priboi story 1.1 mod. I patches it up to worldwide patch 1.0005, extracted the gamedatafolder, put it in the STALKER-folder, installed the patched up files for 1.0005 in the gamedatafolder, deleted the patch folder in it, and then started testrunning. While i play the game it's not like my old priboi story because when i take things from the stashes made in the game the stashbox jumps off the ground when running on max-graphics and then gets stuck in the middle of the air, when not on max they just jumb around a little when i'm trying to take things out. And after a somewhat ten minutes i think, the game just crashes down giving you the normal vista-*****-remark "for an unknown reason the game has stopped working, please wait while we search the net for a solution", what did i do wrong?
So, i came across this mod, and right away-it kicks all kinds of ass! I am, however, running into a serious problem-I can not get past garbage. Whenever I try to zone to Bar i get a BSOD, so I can't even provide an error log. I'm running 1.005, and i've applied both patches and hotfix as per instructions, but it still refuses to let me in anyone have anything similar happen?
Also, the registration on Dez's forums is screwed up, so i can't even post it there...

sorry, vista is not supported for shoc. it can happen, however i also heard players who could play mods on vista without problems too. 
I am at the part where i have the find the secret KGB docs. The walkthough says there are docs in the 1st floor armory in the blue box but the armory door will not open. I DID shoot the lock off but still no luck.
Is this a bug?
We made some changes, and fixed the forum bug, so the site is back on line. Unfortunately we needed to delete ca. 300 users, we were not sure, if they were bots or normal users, because of the strange names.

An answer to Zer who wanted to know where to find PKM Machine Gun ammos: once you rescued the Lost Military Patrol at Chernobyl NPP, on the way to your first visit in Sarcophagus, traders in Rostok sell 7.62 mm x 54R ammo boxes (as well as the PKM MG too). Don Reba sells a 250 rounds box for 1080 rubles; Colonel Petrenko sells a 250 rounds box for 888 rubles; you can buy 1250 rounds (5 boxes) to each of them.
I don't remember if such stuff is available with the scientist at Yantar.

you can load quicksaves, but you need to read the readme. this mod was made for 1.0004. you can download the patch for 1.0005 from this site too, then it will work.

hi, we used an all.spawn modifier tool, acdc. you need to collect coordinates, level and game vertex id, then spawn objects there.
its not so good solution, these objects slow down the game, the better way is the xray sdk, however you will need to remake the vanilla maps if you want to add something there.
So for the same effect like in priboi, we recommend the acdc tool. you will find the ogf models our our objects in gamedatameshes. Use ogf viewer to check them before spawning.

yeah i installed it and i run 1.004 nad it crashes while loading it says loading objets switches to finding server then crashes? help, please.

Master B is quite right, GSC didn't actually improve the X-Ray Engine, it just became worse! Except in appearance as in DX10 features. If there ever will be another S.T.A.L.K.E.R., GSC should:
* Reconstruct the game on the DUNIA engine, or on a different 100%working game engine.
* Care about their fans and fix the bleeding X-Ray engine.
* Or hand their rights of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. over to another game developers company who cares.

if you read the letter what sid wrote, you will know, that the professor in yantar makes those antidoes. he sells it, but also, the letter mentions that professor was robbed by bandits. so that means if you dont want to pay for the vaccine, you can go to darkvalley and look around at the bandits base. 
the first way is the easier, the second is harder, but you will get it for free.

if you have 1.0005 patch, you will need to download the priboi 1.1 update for 1.0005 patch, then start new game.

as for installing, just unpack the patch and copy the gamedata over the priboi story basic 1.1 gamedata. it will ask you to overwrite lots of files, so do so, and then start new game.
Just a few bugs I've encountered (PRIBOI 1.1 on 1.0005 patched)
I managed to cure myself of X-Virus by dropping the anti-dote.
When leaving the Dark Valley to the Garbage, you spawn on the marker to change back to the Dark Valley, which is confusing at first.
For some reason the Dead City #2 docs are not there. There was just some misc. loot in the box. The code for X18 document was also missing with the same problem...? Or maybe It's just me :S
its just you, the documents are not missing from anywhere maybe you played 1.0 and now you try to look for them at the same place? thats not good because we hid them again. And they are in boxes, and stashes, not on the ground (since because of engine bug, spawned stuffs without fixed bone param can disappear)
about dv - gar level changer. we fix it. its vanilla issue, since gsc didnt plan to let us go there, you remember, when you are in darkvalley, you need to go back to cordon in a different route.
I've been meaning to play this mod for some time, as it is highly rated and seems like a lot of fun. My only complaint, thus far, is that many of the new textures have no mip maps, and thus cause quite ugly shimmering of textures at a distance. Haven't gotten far enough in to comment on gameplay or other issues.

I got thru the first door just fine with the code from my PDA (1_7_6).
I make it to the 2nd codded door and enter the supplied code (8_1_5),
and the F-ing door doesnt open. WTF!!
BTW - I am running 1.005 with the 1.2 patch for 1.005
patch does not matter here. maybe you found a code for an other door? if not then, since i dont know, i paste the codes for x18:
1st door: 18746
2nd door: just closed, not locked, no need to use code
3rd door: 86195 (aka 2nd code in papers)
it will work in any case.

it would be useful if you check the error log (the same place where the game saves the screenshots, there is a log folder) and paste on the forums the end of the log, where you see "Fatal Error".

sorry zoxfeld to have wasted your time.. but.. after looking at the error log again.. i recognised what the problem was..
although the levelchanger is still missing on the map it works again..
now finally i can play this fantastic mod again

PS: But anyway great thanks to the creators of the mod... Though I'm at the beginning I think the best aspects of the whole thing is removing most of the embarassing anomalies and fresh green vegetation a la Far Cry. 
hi, to tell the truth, i have no idea, since we didnt edit the sound engine, only used some old sounds from betas and unused ones from final game.
it can be issue with 1.0005 patch or, since priboi eats lots of rams, it can cause lags, which can produce sound lagging too, but, actually i never noticed it (maybe because im playing on dx8 aka r1 mode)

Well maybe Priboi eats lots of RAM but not as much as Super Mod Pack that I was testing right before this mod so I'm happy it isn't lagging on my 3 years old computer. It seems to be more optimized that SMP (or maybe it's because I'm playing without that recommended Sky4ce patch).
However it's very strange that nobody noticed this delaying problem but me and user ShY_GuY...
PS: I'd like to run Priboi in the DX8 mode you mentioned about and try if that will fix the problem but I don't know how. Would you please help me with that? Thanks.
go into options, and choose "static lightning" mode in graphics settings. if its already on it, then ... then i have no idea. its mostly mainboard driver or soundcard issue, but im totally out of ideas :S

Static lightning does not help. It's all the same. Also turning off EAX isn't helping. 
I'd like to ask one more thing:
Why is in the left corner signed "ver 1.000x" and not "1.1"? It's confusing somehow...
its just a small issue, the game is confused too, does not know what we did to him 
actually we didnt know how to name it, so ... the X is better than nothing.
btw which wpn has delaying reload sound? maybe the sound itself is bugged... im using. if you can tell which ones are bigged, i can fix them.

Well, I didn't test every gun in the game (I'm just at the Bar) but I noticed the following sound issues:
As mentioned the user deank26 in the post #100 - every 3rd or 5th shot from Enfield L85A2 sounds like a shotgun blast which is very funny but weird and annoying too. 
Then it's just the delay problem that user ShY_GuY mentioned about.
All other guns seems to have usual behavior though the reloading sound of the TOZ-34 and double-barreled shotgun was already somehow bugged in the original game.
personally i dont think this mod is that good, the missins are so much bs. like whe nu first enter the garbage and u have to go through the tunnle full of anomlys. total bs. and things are WAY 2 green. like random plants everyware, and having no sidorvich is like the stupieds thing ever, like i can see why he would leave 2 find markone, but like put a new trader thier

can anyone tell me how to edit the fsgame.ltx as usual with mods ($game_data$ = true|true|)
if you go inside the stalker folder, where you put the mods too, then you will see fsgame.ltx.... open it with some text editor, and find the game_data line, and change the false - true to: true true.
it tells the game, to look for the gamedata folder too, otherwise it wont check what you put there

i have one serious question about priboi....are u gonna make a priboi story for clear sky too??? that would be awsome. i kow that with priboi you wanted to let it look like alpha, but if u are planning for a project on CS would it have these fetures???

porting to cs can be done, but not by us we are working on lost alpha.
besides... if you liked priboi gameplay-style, then you will also like Call of Pripyat. Its very similar. You are soldier, and you came to investigate. You will need to think a lot, find documents, keys etc etc... It will be good game!

Like alpha. i saw some of the vid's of that too and from cordeon my mouth was wide open that was just tooooo big awsome!!! that bunker in the middle of nowhere! in a hill!! just awsome!. and from cordon you cloud see the power plant too??? i saw that in a video. There have to be some more NPC's but i know that if u guy's dooing this it will be perfect!!!

Nice mod. Having a good time playing it. I wish there were a few more*****nal weapons. I don't need five varieties of ak-47/ak-74, but I would like to see a few more guns like the famas, the sr-25, the military saiga (accepts scope and nade launcher), an m4, the mg36, and the xm8.
I have a problem, whenever I try to load a quicksave of Yantar, my game freezes when it says "You are entering the zone."
