I've been a modder for this game and many others, but I have
never shared my work, so I am releasing this Mod/Compile for CoP.
I based several scripts from

*S.M.R.T.E.R Pripyat by smrtphoneusr

*Carry More Weight + SEVA suit with Night Vision mod by iamrob7

*Better Weapons, More Realistic (1.1) by nawheel

along with the sound files from

*More Campfire Music! by domovoi


If you have played the past two games in the STALKER series, you
know that you really don't stay attached to a single weapon for very long,
because the weapons had sort of a string of superiority, and if you kept
your current gun you would fall behind as enemies became more difficult
(ex. ak74u<L85<ak74<lr3000<Abakan<Sig550) so as soon as an npc dropped a better
gun, you would immedeatly pick it up and use it if ammo permitted. But now
in CoP, it has more of a "Use the weapon that suits your playstyle" atmosphere
akin to Call Of Duty4 multiplayer. So I modified the weapons and ammo to be better
balanced, while still keeping each weapon&apos;s individual stregnths and shortcomings
evident and also keeping near their real-life counterparts. Here are a few of the tweaks.

I made all shotguns do more damage, but I scaled it so that
shotguns with a higher rate of fire and higher capacity (SPAS12, Protector)
do slightly less damage than their slower counterparts (Winchester 1300, Sawed-Off, Hunting Rifle)
I also made slug rounds extremely effective against armor and mutants
(2 shots from an upgraded winchester1300 kills a mid-level Freedom member)
Shot is also effective against mobs of weaker mutants or stalkers with
weak armor.

In other games, sniping is about getting the most kills with the least ammo, so
I decided to turn up the rate of fire on the sniper rifles so that you can kill faster,
while you actually having to conciously attempt to conserve ammo and make each shot count.
The rate of fire is about on par with an average pistol.

I thought, if it is supposed to be a Close/Mid ranged rifle, why does it have a slow rate of fire
AND a low damage stat? So I decided to give this gun a little bit more usefullness in the field.

Yet another gun GSC made useless for long trips in the zone. Un-modded, this gun has
A low rate of fire, Massive recoil in full-auto, an un-reliable mechanism, and weighs
more than most other guns in the game! The only good thing going for it was the ability to
upgrage for an attachable silencer. Now it has about the same weight and reliability of an AK74,
giving it at least some use.

Here are some non-combat mods also packaged

I hated it in the missions where I am sneaking alongside an npc and that they move twice as fast
as I do when crouching, this makes silently hunting and ambushing enemies feel more like a
chore than a mission. So now you can move about the same speed npcs do when crouched.

Don&apos;t thank me. Thank iamrob7. Helps by untold amounts during the hike to Pripyat.

I always got tired of raiding an enemy fort or camp, only to realise i can&apos;t even carry half of the
loot back to the trader! Other mods fix this problem by giving your character the carrying capacity
of a flatbed truck. This tweak increases the carry weight, while still remaining within the bounds
of human endurance.

There are many more small tweaks and things I forgot to mention, but look at the descriptions of
the mods above and you will get the rest of the changes.

I am planning to get more mods made for the masses, but its time for the last semester crunch and

Note: Anyone else looking to modify the artifacts in-game? I need a hand as the scripts
don&apos;t seem to be working well.

Stalker just crashes when entering loading screen.. i've also tried to install S.M.R.T.E.R and after that one of the weapon mods but it crashes also..

Thank you for trying to release MY mod. Its funny how you ultimately failed at re-compiling it so people cannot use it. If you want the REAL WORKING VERSION of this mod, dll here

hmm.. Well it appears that the problem is in my Xrgame or whatever the files is, at least the bugtrap thingy says something about it.. maybe the fov mod has something to do with it but i don't have the original file anymore and i hate the original fov as it is so small : (
