Totally revamps the terrain graphics for STALKER CLEAR SKY, using techniques of my own invention. Terrain now has realistic, rough surface texture which reacts with the sun-lighting direction, to create a detailed and realistic game vista.

'NeilMc_Terrain_Pack' v1.0.

Description:

Totally revamps the terrain graphics for STALKER CLEAR SKY, using techniques of my own invention. Terrain now has realistic, rough surface texture which reacts with the sun-lighting direction, to create a detailed and realistic game vista.


This mod should not affect framerates.

This mod will give-

* Realistic terrain texture.
* Better detail on Near and Far terrain
* Affects Sand/Swamps, Roads/ Asphalt (Tarmac), Dirt/ leafy ground etc.

Notes:

* You should ensure you are using at DX9 or DX10 (ie NOT STATIC LIGHTING)

* You should have SUN SHADOWS ENABLED.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND REDUCING GRASS DETAIL DENSITY TO THE MINIMUM POSITION.

Installation

1.) Place the RAR file in your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. -Clear Sky folder
( the full path is C:Program FilesDeep SilverS.T.A.L.K.E.R. -Clear Sky )

2.) Extract the mod from the .RAR folder (using "Winrar" or similar software)

3.) Play!

Uninstallation:

remove the extracted files from your Textures/Detail folder

I have used techniques I have been developing for some time now, which I consider my own invention, so if GSC or any other developer is interested I would be happy to hear from them!

I would like this to remain a mod on its own and NOT to be included as part of other mods. This is due to the fact that it is the first part of an ongoing project and is subject to change, plus the overall size of the proposed package will be very large. Thanks.
