Clear Sky - Best Graphics of E3 2008 - Miscellaneous

The guys over at Voodoo Extreme have given Clear Sky the "Best Graphics" award from this years E3 Expo.

Quote:
Best Graphics
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky
Developer: GSC Game World
Publisher: Deep Silver
Release Date: Sept. 08
Shown at E3 on the: PC
Also Appearing on the: PC

Why it won: The best graphics award this year was hard to call. On one hand, we had Crysis Warhead. On the other, we have S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky. Warhead’s graphics looked exactly like Crysis (maybe a little watered down so they ran faster) while Clear Sky showed a significant visual improvement over S.T.A.L.K.E.R.’s visual prowess. Crysis Warhead crashing on me in the middle of playing didn’t help either. Clear Sky’s technological feature set is extremely impressive as well and the demo looked absolutely fabulous.

The got the release date wrong though...

Check out the rest of the winners here!

No, the release date is definitely confirmed. There was something like this the other day on some other site, but then it turned out to be a group of hackers. I'll be expecting Clear Sky on the 29th of August 2008 or a few days lter like the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R..Rock

I'm really glad they are using their own engine. Especially considering what I've heard about all the problems from developers who are licensing those engines.
GSC is much better off doing their own especially considering the awards they have been winning lately.
